- The Gateway to Educational Materials
The Gateway to Educational Materials, sponsored by the US Department of Education, provides educators with
access to thousands of educational resources found on various federal,
state, university, non-profit, and commercial Internet sites.
- Educator's Reference Desk
Search for citations to education-related journal articles and other
documents. Also included, the Eric Clearinghouses offer diverse relevant
subjects, and the InfoGuides and Lesson Plans are full-text, and all
are searchable.
- Teachers.net Site provides lots of great links
to any type of curriculum subject, with websites links for those
subjects, as well as links to lesson plan sources. Also offers weblinks
to an endless variety of resources to the educator, anything from maps
and dictionaries, to books and people finders and
calculators/converters. Also searchable.
- Education World Focuses on K - 12, offers
materials on curriculum, lesson planning, model schools, and resources
by discipline.
- Teachers Helping Teachers Provides tips to
inexperienced teachers, and a forum for all to share ideas and
expertise. Includes lesson plans.
- World
Data on Education Features profiles on
over 100 countries including government spending, enrollment, priorities
and concerns, and more.
- Making of America Materials accessible here are
Cornell University Library's contributions to Making of America (MOA), a
digital library of primary sources in American social history from the
antebellum perios through reconstructon. The collection is particularly
strong in the subject areas of education, psychology, American history,
sociology, religion and sciences and technology. This site provides
access to 267 monograph volumes and over 100,000 journal articles with
19th century imprints.
