Circulation Policy

Copyright Policy: All copying must conform to the College Copyright Policies concerning "Fair Use" of copyrighted materials and may be restricted by fair use restrictions of Federal law (Title 17, US Code).

Blocks on Borrowing Privileges: The Library will not assess fines on overdue general circulation loans to students, faculty or staff. If a patron keeps an item overdue, that patron's borrowing privileges -- including the Reserve Reading Collection and ILL -- will be blocked. The patron must return the overdue item to clear the block on their borrowing privileges. If a patron keeps materials overdue which have been recalled, that patron's borrowing privileges will be blocked until the recalled material is returned to the Library.

Fines and Replacement Billing: Students and affiliated borrowers will be fined for: keeping Reserve Reading Collection materials more than hour overdue -- $10.00/item; keeping recalled books more than 7 days past the recall due date -- $10.00/item.

Students and affiliated borrowers who do not return Library books, or return them in a damaged condition, will be billed the replacement cost of the book(s) plus a $50.00/book processing fee.

Bookshelf

Student fines and replacement costs will be billed on the Student Information System (SIS) and collected by the Bursar's Office. Affiliated borrowers will pay fines or replacement costs at the Circulation Desk by check only.

FOOD, BEVERAGES AND THE USE OF CELLULAR PHONES/BEEPERS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THE LIBRARY
