Over 2300 images from more than 230 artists, both public domain and copyrighted, free to use up to 5-6 images for non-profit, education purposes. From ancient to contemporary/postmodern.

Basically, a list spanning the Medieval Period through Contemporary, with birth/death dates for each artist. Biographical information and illustrations are incuded for some. Also offers links to varied relevant resources.

Prof. Munsterberg's site explains the different approaches encountered in undergraduate art history classes. Each chapter outlines the characteristics of one type of visual or historical analysis, and briefly explains its history and development.
